The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is designed for video instant messaging on Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and AIM. The webcam boasts many features such as Carl Zeiss optics (used in higher-end digital cameras), HD video (960×720 resolution), and an ultra-wide field of view with face tracking. In addition, there is also built-in automatic focus, exposure and echo cancellation.

I had this Vietnamese friend find a scam in a couple of Canadian retailers policies. He was able to get the QuickCam Fusion for 5 dollars. Basically Futureshop was selling these things for $55 Canadian (normal price of $113), Staples was selling them for $113 but with a 50 dollar mail in rebate. Staples has a “Price match” policy and they price matched the Futureshop price at 10% off. So he purchased the QuickCam Fusion from Staples and also got the mail in rebate.
I think he bought 5 of them, but I think he might have a problem when they see that all the rebate cheques are going to the same address…
Anyway, saw the camera and thought I would share a story.
